Instea is an instant tea crystals made for hot or iced tea. At Instea, we turn real brewed tea into instant tea crystals that dissolve easily in water, so you can enjoy authentic tea taste without steeping, tea bags, or extra tools.
How is Instea different from loose leaf tea?
Loose leaf tea offers an authentic tea experience, but it usually requires tools, steeping time, and hot water. Instea gives you authentic tea flavour in a format that dissolves in seconds, making it easier to enjoy premium tea when you are at work, travelling, or on the go.
How is Instea different from tea bags?
Tea bags require steeping, hot water, and time. Many tea bags also contain lower-grade tea or microplastics. Instea dissolves directly in water, giving you a faster, cleaner, and more convenient way to enjoy real tea anywhere.
How is Instea different from other instant tea mixes?
Most instant teas are premixes with mild powder, sweetened, low-grade, or made with added flavours. Instea is focused on real tea taste, simple ingredients, and a premium unsweetened tea experience.
Is Instea like matcha?
No, Instea is not matcha. Matcha is made from finely ground tea leaves and is usually whisked or frothed before drinking. Instea is made by turning real brewed tea into instant tea crystals through a freeze drying process that dissolves in hot or cold water, with no whisk, frother, tea bag, or steeping required.
How To Use
How do I make Instea?
Add a heaping ¼ tsp or 0.5 g of Instea crystals to a cup or bottle. Pour in 8 oz / 240 mL of hot or cold water, then stir or shake until dissolved. For a stronger flavour, add more Instea to taste.
Can I make it hot and iced?
Yes. Instea dissolves in hot or cold water, so each blend can be enjoyed as hot tea or iced tea.
Can I adjust the strength?
Yes. One of the benefits of Instea is that you can adjust the strength to your liking. Start with a heaping ¼ tsp or 0.5 g per 8 oz / 240 mL of water and add more to taste if you prefer a stronger cup. Each sachet is pre-portioned as one single serving.
Does Instea only dissolve in water?
No. Instea crystals can dissolve in hot or cold liquids, not just water. You can mix them into milk for a tea latte, add them to sparkling water for a light sparkling tea beverage, or use them in other drinks depending on how you like to enjoy your tea.

Is Instea sweetened?
No. Instea is unsweetened and made without added sugars.
Does Instea contain flavourings or fillers?
No. Our blends are made with premium tea and botanical ingredients, without fillers or artificial or natural flavourings.
Are there allergens?
Instea is prepared in a shared kitchen that may also handle common allergens, including nuts, sesame, soy, dairy, and gluten.
Does Instea have caffeine?
Classic Assam and Roasted Yerba Mate naturally contain a medium level of caffeine. Genmaicha contains a lower level of caffeine because it is made with green tea and roasted rice. Hibiscus Mojito is an herbal blend and does not contain tea leaves, so it is naturally caffeine-free.
What formats does Instea come in?
Instea is available in a 25-serving tin and an 8-sachet box. The tin is ideal for everyday use and lets you adjust the strength to your liking, while the sachet box includes pre-portioned single servings for convenience, travel, or trying different blends.
Storage, Travel & Orders
How should I store Instea?
Store Instea in a cool, dry place and keep the tin sealed when not in use. Instea is sensitive to moisture, so for the tins, keep the crystals inside the small inner bag and place the bag back into the tin after each use. For best quality, store away from heat, light, and moisture.
Can I travel with Instea?
Yes. Instea is lightweight, compact, and easy to take with you for work, school, travel, or daily routines.
